Simon Young is an internationally experienced business improvement professional with 19 years’ experience leading improvement initiatives and capital projects in the mining industry in Australia, Papua New Guinea and Laos. 

Mr Young currently holds the position of Group Manager – Business Improvement and Risk at Aurelia Metals, a base metals mining and exploration company with assets in central west New South Wales. Since joining Aurelia Metals 2021, Mr Young led the development of the Company’s Integrated Management System and has carriage of its enterprise risk management framework.

Prior to joining Aurelia Metals in 2021, Mr Young held the position of Group Operations Improvement Manager at PanAust Limited, where he oversaw the development and implementation of several business improvement initiatives, including its Group-wide Management Operating System.
