Paul Lucey
Paul is the founder and Chief Engineer of 412 Drive Technologies and a recognised leader in mining technology with more than 35 years of experience across fleet electrification, autonomous systems, and energy transition. His career spans senior executive roles including VP Technology at Gold Fields and Executive Chair of RoboWest, where he drove large-scale technology adoption across some of Australia's most demanding mining operations. He now leads a Perth-based venture developing hybrid drivetrain and AI software solutions for heavy equipment, with a focus on decarbonising mining fleets and improving operational performance at the asset level. A prolific commentator on industry transformation, Paul writes regularly on energy, automation, and regional development for a global mining audience.
