With a background in mining engineering, Nicole has over 30 years of experience in the resources industry. Beginning her career as an underground miner, she progressed through a range of site-based technical and consulting roles before leading a team at Glencore focused on business development, project assessment, and technical governance.

Nicole is a Fellow of the AusIMM and served as President and Chair of the Board in 2023 and 2024. She has held numerous leadership roles within the Institute, including Chair of the Hunter Region Branch, member of the JORC Committee, and Chair of the Joint AIG/AusIMM Competent Person Review Taskforce. She has also contributed to several industry advisory boards supporting tertiary mining education.

In recognition of her industry leadership, Nicole was named Exceptional Woman in NSW Mining in 2018 and selected among the 100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining the same year. She is currently a Non-Executive Director of ASX-listed Whitehaven Coal.
