Interoperability Architect , Geoscience Australia

Michael Sexton is the Geoscience Interoperability Architect for Geoscience Australia, leading a joint effort across the state and territory geological surveys to standardise and harmonise geoscience data into seamless national-scale datasets necessary for next generation of mineral exploration and discovery. Prior to this Michael was Geoscience Australia Lead for the Australian Critical Minerals Research & Development (R&D) Hub, a collaborative program between Geoscience Australia (GA), the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) and the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO) aimed at applying R&D to unlock the critical minerals value chain. Michael has B.Eng. (Mechatronics) from the Australian National University in 2004 and joined Geoscience Australia in 2007.
