Mark is the Managing Partner of Orion Industrial Ventures (OIV), a venture capital firm targeting technologies for critical minerals, metals and materials production.  OIV sits within the Orion Resource Partners Group, which is among the largest private capital providers in metals and mining globally, with over $8.6 billion under management and having funded over 80 mines in 29 different countries.

OIV seeks to access the know-how, market access and potential follow-on capital provided by the Orion platform to help source, de-risk and scale its portfolio companies, providing a differentiated source of capital focused on the growing market opportunity in critical minerals supply.

Prior to joining Orion, Mark was Head of BHP Ventures, where he led the initial design, establishment and scale-out of BHP Ventures’ investment platform and portfolio.
