Jessica Farrell
Jess Farrell has worked in the mining industry for close to 20 years.
She has held senior leadership roles in operations, maintenance, strategy and commercial areas, working across iron ore, copper and nickel commodities in Australia and internationally.
Jess is passionate about people, the resources sector and creating sustained, positive impact for society and communities.
Jess currently leads BHP’s global innovation portfolio as Vice President Innovation – helping the company innovate with impact and unlock value from current and future resources.
Her previous roles at BHP include Asset President Nickel West and General Manager Integrated Planning and Remote Operations for WA Iron Ore.
Jess holds bachelor degrees in business and arts and has undertaken a number of post-graduate studies at Harvard Business School, INSEAD, Duke University, London Business School and IMD Business School.
She is a Director for the Fremantle Football Club and an appointed member on the Executive Council of the Chamber of Minerals and Energy Western Australia.
Jess grew up in Perth, Western Australia where she currently lives with her husband and their two children.
