Chad Burrows is Head of Digital Innovation at Hancock Iron Ore, leading the application of AI, data and automation to improve mining operations. With over 20 years’ experience spanning chemical engineering, operational technology, cybersecurity, and enterprise platforms, he specialises in bridging Information Technology and Operational Tehnology to deliver measurable operational outcomes. Chad led the creation of RoyBot, the first enterprise generative AI platform in mining, now used widely across operations. His work focuses on applying AI and advanced analytics to improve safety, productivity, and reliability in large-scale mining environments. He previously held senior technology and operational roles at BHP and began his career as a process engineer.
