Andrew Rouse
Andrew Rouse is a mining engineer and entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience across the mining value chain. He is the Founder and CEO of Digital Terrain, an Australian technology company that delivers site-ready digital solutions for underground mining operations. Andrew leads the development of Simbio, the industry’s first underground paperless data capture system, and is the owner of Magman, a digital platform for explosives management.
Throughout his career, Andrew has worked as a mine owner, contractor, joint venture partner, and technology architect. His operational and commercial experience includes work with BHP, Glencore, Newcrest, Rio Tinto, Thiess and PYBAR, where he has led billion-dollar tenders, implemented enterprise systems, and overseen digital transformations at scale.
As a Director of Austmine, Andrew is an active contributor to the Australian METS sector, advocating for the practical application of data and automation to improve safety, performance, and decision-making in mining.
