Adrian Seyfaee
Dr Adrian Seyfaee is a Chemical Engineering PhD with extensive experience in innovative projects across environment, energy, and mining sectors. His career has focused on decarbonising heavy industry, working on projects such as energy storage using Calcium looping, methane pyrolysis using liquid catalysts, underground hydrogen storage, and thermal energy storage in the alumina industry. Dr Seyfaee has been a key contributor to projects that have successfully developed concepts from initial stages through lab work, scale-up to pilot and demonstration units.
Dr Seyfaee has been developing safe, innovative, and commercial solutions to abate fugitive methane, a byproduct of industrial activities and a recognised industry-wide challenge. This work on fugitive methane catalytic abatement showcases his commitment to reducing the environmental impact of mining activities. At Mining3, Dr Seyfaee continues to develop this technology for industry applications.
In addition, the operational knowledge gained from his time at South32 Mining Company provides a practical foundation for bridging research and industry application.
As Scale-up and Commercialisation Manager at Mining3, Dr Seyfaee aims to drive sustainable innovation in the mining sector, leveraging his diverse experience to address critical challenges while focusing on scaling up and commercialising promising technologies.
