Craig Senger Excellence in Export Award Finalists

Austin Engineering

Austin Engineering delivers Australian-designed mining equipment globally with manufacturing operations on four continents. Their innovative truck bodies and buckets optimise payload while reducing maintenance costs across diverse mining environments. With export revenue reaching $173 million (55% of total sales), they've established themselves as a leader in customised mining equipment solutions worldwide.

CST Technology

Since their 1997 Vancouver installation, CST Technology has established Australian weighing expertise globally through strategic acquisitions and market expansion across five continents. Their high-precision belt scales ensure accurate material measurement in critical applications from ship loading to metallurgical processes, strengthening Australia's reputation for innovative materials handling solutions worldwide.

Duratray International

Duratray International exports its patented Suspended Dump Body across 37 countries, addressing region-specific mining challenges from Canadian diamond operations to Chilean copper sites. Their Smart Tray 4.0 technology and customised solutions eliminate carryback issues while enhancing efficiency, establishing their innovative haulage technology as an international benchmark for sustainable mining equipment.

SafeGauge

Established in 2019, Hunter Valley's SafeGauge has transformed maintenance safety with wireless diagnostic technology that eliminates dangerous live testing. Their Australian-designed tools have achieved remarkable international growth—including 1,087% export expansion in a single year—and now protect maintenance workers across twelve countries from Peru to Mongolia.

VERIDAPT

VERIDAPT has expanded from monitoring Australian coal mines to controlling 30 billion litres of fuel across 200+ global mining operations. Their innovative platforms help industry giants digitise manual processes, delivering immediate cost reductions in harsh environments. With export revenue now at 47% of total business, they've established Australian technology leadership worldwide.

Outstanding Innovative METS Company Award Finalists

3ME Technology

3ME Technology has pioneered Australia's first underground battery-electric mining vehicles with their comprehensive 'Blade' technology stack. Their immersion-cooled battery systems are purpose-built for mining's harsh conditions rather than adapting commercial EV components. With over 100 specialised deployments, they deliver 50% lower maintenance costs across mining, defence and maritime applications.

BluVein

Established in 2021, BluVein has revolutionised mining electrification with their patented dynamic charging rail system. Their innovation enables battery-electric haul trucks to receive continuous power while moving, eliminating traditional operational compromises. By allowing smaller batteries and continuous charging along haul routes, they provide miners a viable pathway to eliminate diesel while maintaining productivity.

Pitcrew.ai

Born from Pilbara safety challenges with autonomous trucks, Pitcrew.ai developed a groundbreaking side-of-road thermal inspection system that delivers comprehensive vehicle assessments in under 60 seconds. Their fleet-agnostic approach monitors entire fleets without individual sensors, preventing catastrophic tire failures while now expanding to identify brake and wheel component issues across autonomous operations.

Razor Labs

Razor Labs bridges the gap between sensor data and actionable maintenance insights with their sophisticated AI platform that functions as a 24/7 automated diagnostician for mining equipment. Combining pre-trained models and advanced algorithms, they detect failures weeks before occurrence—preventing significant downtime from hidden gearbox damage to missed conveyor failures, delivering measurable financial benefits worldwide.

Robotic Systems

From a Newcastle garage startup to industry leader, Robotic Systems developed JetScreen—the first purpose-built AI tablet for mining equipment that processes algorithms 100 times faster than competitors. This drop-in replacement enables real-time analysis from up to 22 cameras simultaneously without internet connectivity, delivering human-level decision-making in harsh mining environments.

SAPHI

SAPHI's Shellshock AI works without internet connectivity to simultaneously monitor operator fatigue, detect collision risks, and identify hazards across mining operations. What distinguishes this innovation is its ability to continuously evolve without hardware changes, instantly deploying new safety algorithms fleet-wide. Already preventing five major incidents worth $20-40 million, it's reshaping global mining risk management.
