MCA confirmed as Endorsing Partner of GRX26
The Global Resources Innovation Expo (GRX26) is pleased to announce the Minerals Council of Australia (MCA) as Endorsing Partner, further strengthening the event as a ‘by industry, for industry’ international showcase of Australia’s mining and METS sector.
MCA promotes and advocates for a strong, vibrant and innovative national minerals industry. The peak body engages with the community, industry, government, thought leaders and other stakeholders to reinforce and raise awareness of the resources sector’s vital contribution to Australia and Australians.
MCA’s endorsement reinforces GRX’s overarching theme: ‘Competing Globally in the Critical Era’. Throughout the three-day conference program, delegates will be challenged to become active participants in positioning Australia at the forefront of global mining and METS innovation, creating lasting value for communities and the industry.
MCA CEO Tania Constable said despite global uncertainty and geopolitical upheaval, the current minerals boom represents a ‘golden moment’ for Australian mining and presents immense opportunities.
‘Australian mining is already helping to write the next chapter in our national success story and is an outstanding ambassador for our nation as world demand grows for our bulk commodities and critical minerals,’ Ms Constable said.
‘GRX26 will host many great conversations about securing Australia’s place in the world through mining’s readiness, willingness and ability to power our strategic alliances as a partner in Australia’s ability to help the world succeed in progress and economic growth.’
AusIMM CEO Stephen Durkin and Austmine interim CEO Vanessa Haberland said “MCA’s endorsement is a powerful statement that GRX26 is an industry-owned platform focused on what matters most for mining and METS. In an era defined by the energy transition, digital disruption and evolving social expectations, shared leadership from peak bodies is essential if Australia is to remain a global leader.”
MCA will feature at GRX26 through a highly anticipated plenary Q&A with MCA CEO Tania Constable titled ‘Mining Innovation Imperative: Asia-Pacific’s Strategic Response’. Together with UWA Chancellor and Perenti Ltd Chair Diane Smith-Gander AO, Ms Constable will explore how Asia-Pacific nations must accelerate breakthrough innovation, deploy AI-driven automation and scale enabling technologies to maintain competitive advantage.
MCA Deputy CEO Sid Marris will also host an engaging conversation titled ‘Building Australia’s Next Generation of Mining Talent: How Industry Collaboration is Securing the Future Workforce.’ Mr Marris and MCA’s Sarah Murray will explore the success of the Minerals Industry Experience program (MiEX), a two-week intensive experience to give mining-curious STEM students immersive exposure to modern mining careers.
GRX26 will be held from 5-7 May 2026 at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre. View the GRX26 program and register here.
